Doggie Dress-up... {phfr}

how homeschoolers use their break time
Duke was a willing participant in a photo-shoot today (for dog lovers, you can see that, although he is a pure-bred standard poodle, he doesn't not have consistent coloring. He's a 'phantom' poodle) and yes, he is reading The Far Side.

  1. Gorgeous canine!! So dignified and proper looking...reading the Far Side (really cracked me up! All that was missing was some spectacles on his nose.)

    1. thanks! (and thanks for commenting...Duke's master- my 13-year old daughter- has been wondering if anyone would comment about him) Duke is always a 'Far Side' dog- either noble and serious or goofy

  2. These pictures are great! Your dog has great facial expression. Is he reading your blog online and smiling there? And then in that scarf/shawl - he looks so dignified. Really, I think it belongs in a sales catalogue somewhere! He should model some hats next. :)

    What fun with dogs - aren't they great?! This brings back many warm memories of afternoons breaks from homeschooling, spent dressing my childhood schnauzer like a nun and taking pictures (with no disrespect to the religious life, I promise!) Besides, to put up with all that, our dog must have been a saint!

    1. We got this dog (2 years old) from a rescue this past summer- a poodle has been the dream of my oldest daughter since she was 3 (she's 13 now)- thankfully, it has worked out!
